We Serve
Through serving in the Ministries of Grace, our faith is strengthened, we contribute to the upbuilding the Kingdom of God, we witness to the world the goodness of God and we execute our call from God.
We Grow
We study the precepts of God in the Holy Bible and apply them to our lives and the circumstances it brings.

Our History

Grace History

Grace was founded in 1886 from a group of 28 individuals. Grace A.M.E. Zion Church quickly became a centerpiece in the old Brooklyn section of Charlotte, North Carolina. Throughout most of the 20th century, Grace was a leader spiritually, culturally, and socially in this thriving area.

After designation as a historic landmark in the old Brooklyn portion of uptown Charlotte the members looked to the future. In 2006 the members of Grace walked the approximately 12 miles from our historic downtown location to our new land in the University City area.
In 2009, Grace continued its pledge to be at the forefront of Charlotte’s spiritual community when it moved into its present location in the University area. Now, as then, Grace is honoring its pledge to serve the entire Charlotte area with forward-thinking and inspired leadership.

With God’s blessing, we will continue to grow by supplying spiritual guidance and effectively servicing our member’s needs.
